Fishermen, sun, sea, Boccadasse is really a gem: a small seaside village completely surrounded by the city, Genoa. Syusy loses herself among the crêuze – the little streets that go towards the sea – with Paolo Secondo, remembering the songs that De André dedicated precisely to these places. In the 1960s and 1970s many poets, writers and singer songwriters met here, at the historic La Tartana, where it can be said Genoese song was born... And gazing at the panorama from the window looking out on the sea, certainly one thinks of “Taste of the sea” by Gino Paoli...
Then Syusy also tries the local Capo di Santa Chiara, a historical Genoese restaurant with something of a New York style, where all the chefs are women and cook traditionally with an eye to innovation! For yachters Boccadasse is a perfect place to land: they can leave their boats 200 metres away from the shore and get to the beach on the tender or swimming, and once they are on shore there is a newspaper, a taste of pizza bread and a glass of Vermentino! Syusy has no doubts: she could even stay there! So she writes her name in enormous characters on a chair that she places on the shore ...
